The following information is from her February 13, 2001, Florida Times-Union obituary (visit link):

"DOUGHTY - Debra A. Doughty, passed away Sunday February 11, 2001 in Jacksonville, FL after an eight month battle with cancer. Debra was a beautiful, kind and generous person who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was a 1996 graduate of Melbourne Central Catholic High School and a 2000 graduate of the University of North Florida degree was in Health Science with a major in nutrition. Debra was a Christian who accepted Christ in her life and it showed in her actions. She is survived by loving parents Carl and Cheryl of Palm Bay, paternal grandmother Laverne Doughty of Independence MO and maternal grandfather S.E. Bogdan of Nashua N.H. Debra was a special person who touched the lived and hearts of many people. Calling hours are Tuesday February 13 from 6:00-8:00 at Brownlee Maxwell Funeral Home, Melbourne, FL with services on Wednesday February 14, 2:00 PM at Central Baptist Church in Melbourne. In lieu of flowers, Contributions can be made to the Make A Wish Foundation."
