The sign is on the west shore of Lake Champlain, at the end of New York Route 74, at the ramp to the Ticonderoga Ferry. It is colored brown with yellow lettering.

Ticonderoga is the home of one of the most important American Revolutionary War sites in the country: Ft. Ticonderoga. The center is about a mile west on Route 74.
