La Center resident Wendi Deans opened the Savor the Moment Tea House in late November 2015. She opened her first tea house several years ago in western New York. After moving to the area, she looked for three years before discovering the perfect location in Battle Ground.
Savor the Moment Tea House had a variety of food choices for customers to choose from. A full Afternoon Tea, with a choice of freshly made tea (my favorite is Earl Grey tea with Bergamot), scone with homemade jam and clotted cream, soup, sandwiches, fruit and dessert, is $16.50 plus tax and tip.
Afternoon Tea is served on an elegant table, with white tablecloths, porcelain cups and saucers, sugar/sugar tongs, and a three-tiered tower. A 20-oz. pot of tea.
