Lochlee Parish Church was built in 1803 as a replacement of a former building which stood a mile away at the eastern end of Loch Lee, the remains of which can still be seen next to its old graveyard. The church was built with stone from the outbuildings from nearby Invermark Castle and is situated at the end of the public road up Glen Esk. Only a few dwellings remain close by and most services in the glen are conducted further down at Tarfside, the only small village in the glen. However, the church is still in use and the public are encouraged to look around.
