Thomasburg Public School was built in 1869 to serve the residents of Thomasburg and surrounding Hungerford Township. It fulfilled that role until about 1967, when students were bused to school in nearby Tweed.
The building was converted to a Town Hall, and when the village was absorbed by the new Municipality of Tweed, converted again into a Community Centre. The Community centre features space for about 80 people, and features a newly renovated kitchen.
Hall rentals are available through the Municipality of Tweed and the Thomasburg Hall Rental Committee.
