What was once a game room in the Conklin Sports Park is now the Floyd L. Maines Community Center. It's named after the founder of Maines Paper and Food Service, who passed away last year. This building was destroyed after the June 2006 flood. Maines refurbished it for the Town of Conklin. Maines also donated another building and some land from the former sports park to the town.
