Ce parc régional est situé dans la municipalité Pointe-aux-Outards, Québec, Canada.
Unique par la biodiversité qu’il recèle, le site de Pointe-aux-Outardes voit se succéder huit écosystèmes distincts, de la forêt boréale jusqu’aux battures et aux plages, incluant tourbière, dunes de sable ou aulnaie, ainsi que le plus vaste marais salé de la Côte-Nord. Ce dernier se laisse explorer à bord d’une embarcation pneumatique, tandis que 10 km de sentiers sillonnent l’ensemble de ces milieux naturels foisonnants de vie – 255 espèces d’oiseaux présentes !
Le Parc Nature offre également un circuit d’interprétation sur la culture innue ainsi qu’un jardin d’oiseaux aménagé autour d’une grande volière à papillons.
Le parc possède quelques sites de camping et offre également la possibilité de louer des abris.
Pointe-aux-Outardes est une municipalité du Québec située dans la MRC de Manicouagan sur la Côte-Nord.
Du point de vue géologique, la péninsule de Manicouagan est une immense delta de sable de l’époque glaciaire.
La présence autochtone innue et montagnaise sur ce territoire remonte à près de 6 000 ans. Territoire forestier immense, la Manicouagan est une région riche par sa faune diversifiée, ce qui permet aux amérindiens de prospérer grâce à la chasse des loups-marins, ours, castors, orignaux et plus au nord, de caribous. De plus, la rivière Manicouagan offre un bassin de pêche important et la rivière aux Anglais en est une à saumon.
Il est possible qu'aux alentours de l'an 1000, les explorateurs vikings s'intéressent à la Côte-Nord et à la région de la rivière Manicouagan. Des traces(peut-être) d'installations temporaires sont découvertes près de Baie-Comeau.
En 1535, Jacques Cartier note l'existence de la rivière Manicouagan mais qualifie le pays de dangereux, les bancs de sable créés par cette rivière et la rivière aux Outardes étant peu favorables à la navigation. Les seuls colons intéressés par cette région sont les contrebandiers de fourrures et les missionnaires, en quête d'évangélisation des amérindiens. Il faut attendre le XIXe siècle pour que les premiers établissement permanents de la Manicouagan (Godbout, à 50 km à l'Est de Baie-Comeau et Pointe-aux-Outardes, à 20 km à l'ouest de Baie-Comeau) s'installent.
Le parc a été crée en 1969. Il a fermé en 1987 et ré-ouvert en 1987.

This regional park is located in the municipality of Pointe-des-Outardes, Quebec.
Unique in biodiversity it contains, the site of Pointe-aux-Outardes is a succession of eight distinct ecosystems of the boreal forest to the flats and beaches , including peat , sand dunes or alder and the wider salt marsh of the North Shore. The march may be explore aboard an inflatable boat. There are also 10 km of trails which crisscross all of these natural environments, teeming with life - 255 species of birds are present!
The Nature Park also offers an interpretation circuit on Innu culture and a bird garden set around a large butterfly house.
The park has a few campsites and also offers the possibility to rent shelters.
Pointe-aux-Outardes is a village municipality in Quebec, Canada, on the southern point of the Manicouagan Peninsula between the mouths of the Outardes and Manicouagan Rivers.
From a geological perspective, the Manicouagan Peninsula is a vast delta of sand dating from the last ice age.
Aboriginal presence (Innu and Montagnais) in the area dates back almost 6000 years. Huge forest area, Manicouagan is a region rich in its diverse wildlife, which allows the different Indian bands to prosper through hunting of seals, bears, beavers, moose and further north, caribou. In addition, the Manicouagan and English rivers provide an important fishing ponds.
It is possible that around the year 1000, Viking explorers visited the North Shore and the area of the Manicouagan River. Traces (perhaps) for temporary facilities were found near Baie-Comeau.
In 1535, Jacques Cartier notes the existence of the Manicouagan River but considers the country of dangerous sandbars created by the river and the "rivière aux Outardes" being unfavorable to navigation. The only settlers interested in this region are the fur smugglers and missionaries in search of evangelizing the Indians. It wasn't until the nineteenth century that the first permanent establishments of the Manicouagan (Godbout, 50 km east of Baie-Comeau and Pointe-aux-Outardes, 20 km west of Baie-Comeau) were founded.
The park was established in 1969. It closed in 1987 and re-opened in 1989.
