The bandshell sees a lot of use through the year as, in addition to the
Rock Creek Fall Fair, the grounds host various other fests and events. As well, the grounds may be rented for events by individuals and corporate entities.
We attended the Rock Creek Fall Fair this weekend (middle of September) and the bandshell was a well attended venue. Music started an hour or so before the opening ceremonies, which took place in the bandshell at noon of the opening day of the fair. After the ceremonies, speeches and thank yous, a pipe band paraded around the grounds from the bandshell. Through the rest of the fair the bandshell hosted various acts, including music, some comedy and even a reading of cowboy and Klondike poetry.
