DE: Die SS vollzog die Prügelstrafe im Arrestbau, auf dem Appellplatz und in der Lagerstraße. Zwischen 1941 und 1942 wurde die Strafe auch im Häftlingsbad durchgeführt. Der Gefangene musste sich über einen Holzbock legen und wurde von SS-Männern oder Funktionshäftlingen mit einem Ochsenziemer geschlagen. In den Erinnerungen der Überlebenden steht der Prügelbock für Einschüchterung, Erniedrigung und Todesgefahr.

EN: The SS administered corporal punishments in the detention building, at the roll call square and an the camp's road. Between 1941 and 1942, punishments were also carried out in the prisoner's bath. The prisoner had to lean over a wooden trestle and was beaten with bull whip by SS men or prisoner functionaies. In the survivors' memories, the whipping trestle is a symbol of intimidation, humiliation and mortal peril.
