Marlbank is a small village, now part of the Municipality of Tweed. At one time it was an important station on the old Bay of Quinte Railway.
The town is noted for the cement that is made from marl taken from nearby Dry Lake, noted as being the hardest underwater cement in the world. It was this cement that was poured as the foundation for the Panama Canal.
The town is also noted for its supposed ghostly inhabitants. The nearby Phoenix Tavern and Hotel is said to have some of the greatest concentration of ghostly patrons as anywhere in Ontario.
The village is located on County Road three southeast of Tweed.
