Built in the late 1920s through the early 1940s, the Union Creek Historic District comprises many buildings and structures that that were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) from 1933-1942. Buildings have been beautifually preserved and this complex as a whole has been converted from a CCC camp into a resort and has become a popular tourist destination.
This payphone stands in front of the lodge building that acts as the resort front office, country store and gift shop. The telephone booth itself looks to be original and very old looking.
