The Rylstone Shire Hall was erected in 1913.

The building is part of an historical tour of the town & a plaque explains that local government came to Rylstone in 1906. The Shire Hall is a simple Federation style building with classical Greek references. It remains in first class order & is still used for council business.

The date stone is to one side of the entrance.
