The hall is part of an historical walk & a plaque on the footpath explains that after World War I many communities built memorials to those who served in the Australian Imperial Force. The shire hall was built with funds raised entirely by the local district.

The hall was & is still used for Balls, wedding receptions, community displays & auctions. At one stage it housed the Roxy Talkies Cinema. The building is in original condition.

The foundation stone is beside the main entrance.
Year of construction: 1926
