The current "new bridge" (1960s) iron plate girder bridge high above Harrowsmith Road, between Harrowsmith and Sydenham was added by the CNoR (latterly CNR) and is the third of three bridges at the site. This structure is quite complex because of its steep angle to the road's deep cutting and the fact that a new, higher alignment was required for the new bridge (to allow for unbroken train operations). Both old and new alignments are still visible.
