Built in 1928, this building replaced a previously wooden building on the property and housed Mr. Seren Steel's blacksmith shop.

Before this building was erected in 1928, there was a wooden building on this property. The previous building has a second hand store in 1900 and a tin shop between 1911 to 1922. The 1928 building was built to house Seren Steel's blacksmith shop and the other part of the building was rented out for commercial use. Today the building is known as the Market Square Tavern. The building is identified as a contributing building to the Water Street Commercial Historic District on page 13.
