In 1903, when a survey took place, surveyors would use anything around to plot land. This cast iron corner post remains as evidence of Section 21's SW corner.

Found using the PLSS Finder offered by the state of Wisconsin, this is an amazing example of the way surveyors work during the late 1800's into the early 1900's. This amazing cast iron post still exists as an testament to the Monroe County Surveyors Office. It's an amazing site that has survived over 100 years.

On the West side of Ideal Rd opposite of Idylwood Rd. There is a wood post, a pile of rocks. a yellow and white witness post, the cast iron corner post, and a green metal fence post.
