Die Poppelsdorfer Allee ist eine Prachtstraße in Bonn aus dem 17. Jahrhundert und verband früher mit einer Länge von genau einem Kilometer das Kurfürstliche Schloss (das heutige Universitäts-Hauptgebäude) mit dem Poppelsdorfer Schloss. Mit der Anlage der Bahnstrecke wurde die Straße um etwa 200 Meter verkürzt.

Die Allee ist gesäumt von Häusern aus der Gründerzeit. Zwischen den beiden Fahrspuren befinden sich Kastanien, Wiesenflächen und Rad- und Fußwege. Diese werden bei gutem Wetter häufig von den Bonnern zur Entspannung und für sportliche Aktivitäten aller Art genutzt. In unregelmäßigen Abständen werden auch Kunstwerke und Skulpturen ausgestellt.

"Poppelsdorfer Allee" is a boulevard in Bonn from the 17th Century. Then, it connected the two castles "Kurfürstliches Schloss" (today the university main building) and "Poppelsdorfer Schloss" on a length of exactly one kilometer. By the contruction of the railroad, it was shortened by about 200 meters.

The Alley is lined with Wilhelminian style houses. In between the two driving lanes there are chestnut trees, lawns, and pathways for pedestrains and bicycle riders. When the weather is fine, the park is used by residents of Bonn for recreation and sports activities of all kind. Also, from time to time, artworks and sculptures are exhibited here.
