This is the oak Bainville-aux-Saules that village up throne along a farm road since 1380 approximately. It is not hard to find as it sees very bottom from the road to Vittel Epinal. Moreover, in the village a small sign indicating the direction to follow to get there. In 1911, it is interesting to note that it was classified as historiques.Le oak hundred monuments has surprising measurements: circumference of 6 meters all round at 1.30m from the top of the slope and a height of 20 meters for a scale over 25 meters!
A document from the Regional Directorate of Lorraine the environment indicates that in 1913 the circumference was 4m50.

Il s’agit du chêne de Bainville-aux-Saules qui trône en haut du village le long d’une petite route agricole depuis 1380 environ. Il n’est pas difficile à trouver car on l’aperçoit très bien du bas depuis la route qui mène d’Épinal à Vittel. De plus, dans le village un petit panneau indique la direction à suivre pour s’y rendre. En 1911, il est intéressant de noter qu’il fut classé aux monuments historiques.Le chêne centaine a des mensurations surprenantes : une circonférence de 6 mètres tout rond à 1m30 par rapport au haut du talus et une hauteur de 20 mètres pour une envergure de plus de 25 mètres !

Un document émanant de la direction régionale de l’environnement de Lorraine indique qu’en 1913 la circonférence était de 4m50.
