USGS '65 JD 1960' BM - Modoc County, CA - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

I recovered this U.S. Geological Survey disk from 1960 in good condition. This disk is monumented on top of a six inch square concrete monument projecting about 8-10 inches above the ground and about 25 feet west/SW of Forest Road 48N70 and just north of a junction of a dirt track road heading west. This disk also appears on a topography map as 'BM 4929' and has the elevation stamping of '4929' on its face. This station does not appear in the NGS database. My posted coordinates should place you pretty close to this mark.
