EN: The industrial town Visp in the plane of the Rhone valley has no easy position in terms of tourism against the famous neighbors in the side valleys like Zermatt and Saas-Fee, of course. Nevertheless, the area has much to offer and is also suitable as a base for exploring the region. But first potential visitors must be reached, who primarily perceive Visp as a transit point.
Against this background, the rather unusual activity and excellent facilities of Visp tourism can be understood.
The tourist info is located just opposite the main entrance to the railway station. Of course, there are many brochures and detailed information about sports and cultural activities, accommodation and events in the region, but also the various tourist attractions are exceptionally well documented and the website of the organization is very comprehensive. The tourist office also has two modern equipped seminar rooms and a show-room, which can be rented at reasonable prices.
DE: Der Industriestandort Visp in der Ebene des Rhonetals hat natürlich touristisch keinen einfachen Stand gegen seine weltberühmten Nachbarn in den Seitentälern wie Zermatt oder Saas-Fee. Trotzdem hat die Gegend einiges zu bieten und eignet sich auch als Ausgangspunkt zur Erkundung der Region. Dies muss potentiellen Besuchern aber erstmal nahe gebracht werden, die Visp vorwiegend als Transitpunkt wahrnehmen.
Vor diesem Hintergrund erklärt sich auch die die eher aussergewöhnliche Aktivität und hervorragende Austattung von Visp Tourismus.
Die Tourist Info befindet sich gleich gegenüber des Haupteingangs zum Bahnhof. Natürlich gibt es hier viele Broschüren und ausführliche Informationen über sportliche und kulturelle Aktivitäten, Unterkünfte und Veranstaltungen in der Region, aber auch die verschiedenen Touristenattraktionen sind aussergewöhnlich gut dokumentiert und die Webpräsenz der Organisation ist sehr umfassend. Das Tourismusbüro verfügt auch über zwei modern ausgerüstete Seminarräume und einen show-room, die zu moderaten Preisen gemietet werden können.
