USGS '83 JD 1960' BM - Modoc County, CA - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

I recovered this U.S. Geological Survey from 1960 in good condition. This disk is monumented on top of a six inch square concrete monument projecting about four inches above the ground about 15 feet south of Clear Lake Reservoir Rd. and at a junction of Clear Lake Reservoir Rd and Forest Rd 46N10. This disk also appears on a topography map as 'BM 5188' and has the elevation stamping of '5186' on its face. This station does not appear in the NGS database. My posted coordinates should place you pretty close to this mark.
