The First Presbyterian Church is the youngest Protestant denomination in the city. The congregation was established in 1887 and a Queen Anne style church was constructed on the corner of Green and Bernon Streets. In 1904, the congregation moved to a new Shingle style church at the corner of Spring and Blackstone Streets. The congregation was dissolved in the 1950's.
