The Kootenai River County Visitor Center offers a large assortment of maps, booklets and tourist attraction pamphlets for the travelers in the area.
Close by is the Firemen's Memorial park that offers RV parking and day use areas. There is also a Firemen's Memorial at the pavilion.
We spent three weeks in Montana and enjoyed the warm hospitality, "howdy" from passersby and that "Big Sky" country vistas, lakes and the Cabinet Mountains. It was a wonderful trip and want to return there, possibly next spring.
The sign below is featured on the side of the visitors' center visible from the parking lot. I just can not help but smile and it brings back many fond memories.
