Built in 1989, the Melrose Stand is the most prestigious at York Racecourse. It sits on the site of the first grandstand ever built in 1753 and is designed in an Edwardian style in red brick. On its pinnacle sits a weathervane depicting the horse and jockey that represents the logo of the racecourse.
