My old house, where I grew up, many, many years ago. I think the Tomahawk bike gives away the rough year. That's me in the red trousers. I think the guy in the background is my friend Gary.
Passing through the area where I grew up as a child in the 70's, I could not resist the temptation to go have a look at the old house. It has changed a bit, as has the surrounding area. Gone is the old drum storage area of Buges which is now occupied by a Wickes. Gone also the old school gates and most of the playing field, sold off some years ago for a new housing development.
Interestingly a tree I used to climb is still there..... I wonder if the carved initials of my childhood sweetheart are still there?
