William Elbert Jordan was born 5 years before the US Civil War on 31 January 1856. He married
Mary Elizabeth Gautney (1851-1931) who was almost 5 years his senior. Together they had 4 children.
Mary passed away when she was 80 years old and William was 75. William continued on for another 28 years until he passed away on 22 September 1959, well over 103 years old. William and Mary are interred together at this cemetery, which is named for the historic Little Flock (Primitive) Baptist Church that began this settlement in 1843, and which got its name from Luke 12:32:
Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
