Though there are several denominations in Eureka, we suspect that this is the only Lutheran church in the town.

Along Dewey Avenue, aka Highway 93, on the western side of Eureka, Holy Cross bespeaks a congregation that, at least in 1960, when it was built, was a strong and active congregation. A nicely finished church of a good size, considering the size of the community, Holy Cross has a tall, steeply pitched gable roof and lots of stone showing on the exterior, including stone buttresses down the side of the nave. Being of a 1960s contemporary design, the church was built without bell tower or steeple. At sidewalk level to the right of a beautiful set of raised panel wood doors with ornate hardware is a granite cornerstone dated 1960.
