The St Albans Uniting Church, was erected in 1869 for the local Wesleyan Methodist Church Congregation to replace three smaller churches of that denomination in the vicinity.
The church was erected in the Victorian Gothic Revival style of squared regular coursed basalt with limestone dressings on the corners and windows with a slate roof.
In 1979 the Methodist, Congregational and Presbyterian churches joined to become the Uniting Church in Australia.
