I recovered this U.S. Geological Survey benchmark from 1949 in good condition. It is a circular disk monumented on top of a low-lying flat lava rock, about two-feet by three-feet, and about four inches above the ground and directly under a wire fence and about 20 feet west of Clear Lake Rd. This disk is also listed on a topography map as 'BM 4231' and also has the elevation stamping of '4231' on its face. This disk is not listed in the NGS database. My posted coordinates should place you very close to this mark.
Condition: Mark found in good condition
