In 1934, the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) constructed this park. Their work included buildings, hiking trails, an amphitheater and several road bridges.

This bridge spans a small stream from the lake on the east side of the park. This is a round arch concrete poured bridge, with irregularly coursed sandstone facing. The arch spans six feet. The length of the bridge is 22 feet.

This is a Contributing structure for the Wintersmith Park Historic District.
