Kantonspolizei - Visp, VS, Switzerland - Police Stations on Waymarking.com

EN: The station of the cantonal police in Visp is located on the ground floor of a multi-storey residential building at the Napoleontrasse. Like everywhere else in Valais the station is labeled in French, even if this is in the German-speaking part of the canton.

According to the address directory of the police, this is a Territorial Base A. Unfortunately there is no explanation of that anywhere. However, it seems to be the highest level of the hierarchy of the different police station types.

DE: Der Posten der Kantonspolizei Visp befindet sich im Erdgeschoss eines mehrstöckigen Wohnhauses an der Napoleonstrasse. Wie überall sonst im Wallis ist der Posten französisch beschriftet, auch wenn er sich im deutschprachigen Teil befindet.

Laut Adressverzeichnis der Polizei handelt es sich um eine Territorial Basis A. Leider ist nirgends erklärt, was das bedeutet; es scheint sich aber um die höchste Stufe der Hierachie der verschiedenen Postentypen zu handeln.

I have had NO problems with taking photos of Police stations but please respect the fact that some services may be nervous about having their photo taken and inquire as to why... I have found that once things are explained they are more than happy to let me photograph the building, crest, chief... (they are people too!)
