This small information board records the history of a carved stone crest showing the coat of arms of the Sheffield and Rotherham Railway Company.

The carved coat of arms are standing in small garden area outside the current Rotherham Central Railway Station and next to the River Don Navigation. The small text only information board stands next to the stone.
