This bench is located near the entrance to the Naval Training Center's Command Center.
The Naval Training Center was decommissioned in 1997...and the Command Center is now the Visitors Center for Liberty Station- a complex of businesses, restaurants, residential, artistic and recreational facilities.
The plaque reads:
"PHILIP KINCAID
OUR DAD
THE GREATEST GENERATION"
