The bell tower and town clock, situated by the public library (now closed) on Milton Regis high street.
A plaque on the side of the tower tells us:
"MILTON BELL
The clock bell in this tower was cast at Borden
near Sittingbourne in 1631 to the order of the
Churchwardens of Milton Parish for the clock
of the "Clock House" which then stood nearby
at the junction of High Street and Crown Road.
The "Clock House" was pulled down and the clock
and bell re-erected on a market erected on this
site in 1803. The old bell was incorporated in
a new clock made in 1887 to commemorate
Queen Victoria's jubilee. The market was later
known as The Milton Town Hall and was
demolished in 1938."
