Early 2014 the residents of Nieuwkoop were offered a nice gift from the Lions Club Nieuwkoop: "De Muziektent" (bandstand). This was a long-cherished wish come true. Finally, as before, a bandstand on the Reghthuysplein. It has become an exact copy of the bandstand that stood on this square 50 years ago, where even then the music association "Eensgezind" regularly performed. Now again there are regular musical and other performances. During the Saturday market for example, something which is highly appreciated by the visitors.
The Bandstand is for everyone. Hence associations, music and theater groups, choirs, students of music schools, bands and orchestras may use "De Muziektent" for free.
