A metal plaque on the front of the former Bull Inn in Sittingbourne High Street.
The plaque reads:
"There has been an Inn
on this site
for at least 400 years.
A cattle market was
held on land at
the rear of the Bull
until 1969."
The land was developed a long time ago and in now the 'Roman Square', a small precinct with a few shops. The pub itself closed a few years ago and is up for sale.
