Yet another historic pub in the High Street to have closed. According to a plaque on the outside of the building, there had been a pub on this site for the last 400 years.
My recollection from around 30 years ago is that it was a nice enough pub for a pint or two on a Friday night. It was usually the next point of call after the Red Lion across the road.
