"Alex" graduated from Sparta High School in 2004 and was soon off to war. His life was cut short when a vehicle swerved into the vehicle he was in while on convoy in Iraq in 2005. His father said the Alex knew by middle school that he wanted to join the Army. This bench serves as a reminder of PFC Gaunky's selfless service.
