From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally NW on US20 for 12.1 miles. Turn right on FR12 and continue 1.1 mile. Bear left on FR1210, continue 6.2 mile to the junction with FR1210-490 and park. Hike generally SW for 0.2 mile on FR1210-490, then cross-country S to the marker, about 450' uphill.

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
Found two bearing trees. The more distant, with a yellow BEARING TREE tag, is down. The nearer is a burned snag with two yellow BEARING TREE tags and a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign. Found three reference monuments, 1-1/2" aluminum caps on 5/8" rebar. Stamping indicates one was employed as a Photo Point in 1988, but the others were set in 1997.
