Groult ; elle porte la date de 1907 gravée sur un cartouche ; elle a été exécutée par l'entrepreneur Boulanger ; réception définitive des travaux le 28 août 1909 ; un agrandissement en béton a été réalisé à l'arrière, probablement dans les années 1930.

Station balnéaire créée sous le Second Empire, Wimereux a pris le nom du fleuve qui se jette dans la mer à l'endroit où la ville a été construite. Le territoire de Wimereux appartenait à l'origine à la commune de Wimille dont Wimereux s'est détaché en 1899.
Wimereux constitue un ensemble architectural remarquable de maisons et d'immeubles typiques de la Belle Époque qui continuent à être entretenus.
À l'origine résidence secondaire des familles aisées de Lille et de Paris, Wimereux est devenue depuis une vingtaine d'années la banlieue résidentielle de l'agglomération de Boulogne-sur-Mer. Wimereux attire aussi des Britanniques, des Belges et des Russes qui viennent s'y installer.
