This marker, and its attendant witness post, are located on the eastern edge of Papago Park along side the Salt River Project's Crosscut Canal. It is a greenish colored metal cap atop a pipe protruding about 12 inches above a concrete base collared by a rusted metal ring. The center of the disk has been badly scratched, obscuring the information. Around the outside of the disk is stamped U.S. General Land Office Survey 194. Within that is Penalty $250 for Removal. At the center of the disk can be discerned A-, 25, 3. The marker is located approximately 38 feet west of the western edge of the sidewalk along side the canal. It is also approximately 54 feet northwest of the concrete base of a large power pole at an angle of 135 degrees.
