Central Fire Station is one of two fire stations in the city of Ada, with a population of 17,000. This is a two-story stone block building with four overhead door vehicle bays facing East. The second floor has a series of 8-over-8 casement windows. The tall hose tower is located on the south side of the building.
A bronze plaque on the side of the building indicates that its construction was Project No. Okla. 1159-F of the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works (later known as the Public Works Administration). A date is not shown, however the Administration was active from 1935-1944.
(A second fire station for Ada is located on the northwest corner of 6th and Highland).
