Originally know as the William G. and Anne Williams House, this was built in 1900 This house was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

William G. Williams was Vice President of the Monroe County Bank when it opened its doors in 1894 and served in this capacity until 1916. He built this house as a residence in 1900 and lived there with his wife Anna until at least 1916 and possible later. William was also the builder of the historic Williams Block in Sparta at 125 South Water Street. The house is considered late Victorian/Queen Anne design. The house was designed by Stoltze & Schick, Architects. There is also a contributing carriage house located in the NE corner of the lot. Both the house and carriage house retain a high level of physical integrity.

Today the house is known as the Franklin Victorian Bed & Breakfast and serves the local Sparta, WI area. The interior has the historic integrity of the turn of the century and offers a unique experience of going back in time while also enjoying the modern amenities. They are close to hiking and biking trails and offer padlocks for the Beaver Creek Love Lock Bridge. They have free WiFi and parking. The are a Three Diamond AAA Property.
