Standing along a walkway which honors military personnel from Pontotoc County, on the east side of the Pontotoc County Courthuse, is a bench dedicated to Alida "Lee" McGehee.
Alongside an engraving of a lighthouse, is this etching from the Scripture John 8:12. It reads:
I am the light of the world, he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. John 8:12.
