Umfang: 10.5 m Höhe: 3.3 m
Gewicht: 45 T, ungefähr so schwer wie 10 elefanten.
Dieser Granitbrocken wurde 1982 im Zuge das Torfabbaues aus dem Georgsdorfer Moor geborgen.
Er stammt aus Schweden, wo sich heute die Aland-Inseln in der Ostsee bevinden.
Er wurde in der letzten eiszeit ( vor etwas 10.000 Jahren) durch den Druck der gewaltigen Eismassen nach Süden verschoben.
Die Alandgranite sind 1.000 bis 1.500 Mio. Jahre alt.

Large stone of Georgsdorf:
Circumference: 10.5 m Height: 3.3 m
Weight: 45 T, about as heavy as 10 elephants.
This granite boulder was recovered in 1982 in the course of the peat cutting from the Georg Moor.
He comes from Sweden, where today bevinden the Aland Islands in the Baltic Sea.
He was moved to the last ice age (some 10,000 years ago) by the pressure of the huge masses of ice south.
The Aland granites are 1,000 to 1,500 million years old.
