Sir Henry Parkes G.C.M.G. (1815-1896). Born in Coventry, England, the son of a tenant farmer. Sir Henry Parkes emigrated to Australia in 1839.
Sir Henry Parkes was Premier of NSW five times during his life. He was responsible for many of the rules and regulations that exist in Australia today.
