The Sheepy Ridge Trail is a short .3 miles in length and a steep hike up but well worth the trip with wonderful views of Tulelake Refuge below. The lookout is made of lava rock and was erected in the mid 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps members (CCC). It still stands today in great condition. If you're hiking this trail on a hot day (like I did), bring lots of water!
