Bank Website

The First National Bank originated from the Koch and Poole Mercantile Company, established in the late 1800's. On December 3, 1901, a group of visionary men met and agreed to establish First National Bank of El Campo. Their dreams materialized on January 22, 1902. The new "city hall" was located in two rooms on the second floor of the bank.

In the late 1940's, the existing banking facility needed some physical improvements; and remodeling plans were solidified on January 24, 1950. Both the interior and exterior were remodeled. After these renovations, this facility continued to be the home of First National Bank; however, property was purchased on April 20, 1965 for a future new home.
