The dinosaur is in the parking area, so you don't have to go into the park to visit it.
The park's official name is Riverfront Park. It is located under the 1930 Hwy. 59 bridge. A great place to relax, or have a picnic. It is a day use park with barbecue pits, tables, and restrooms.
The Brontosaurus is composed of welded steel supports and carved urethane which was coated with fiberglass and painted. The dinosaur is in an active gait. The dinosaur has animated blinking eyes and a Solenoid activated mandible. The sculpture is mounted directly on the ground.
It was erected in 1993 by Dana Steinheimer.
