This Boer Wars Monument is in the MDC (Manitoba Developmental Centre) Cemetery which is on the west side of Hwy 240, 150 metres north of Richardson Boulevard, just north of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.

The monument is a plaque in a stone cairn that is easy to spot near the middle of this wide open cemetery.

The plaque reads:
To the Glory of God
and in memory of the
Men buried in this cemetery
who served their queen and country
with the South Africsn Forces
in the Boer War
1899 ------ 1902
